Your medical history: what to prepare before a Seoul consultation

A clear medical summary leaves more consultation time for your questions. Prepare it before travelling, and ask the clinic which records it needs and how to send them.

The short version

Keep in mind

  • Keep original records alongside your written summary. Bring recent results if available; the clinic may request its own tests.
  • Use SAC’s first inquiry for planning; avoid sending medical records or other sensitive documents there.

Make one useful list

Include medicines with generic names and doses, supplements, allergies, past reactions, previous procedures, ongoing conditions and implants. Bring relevant reports or device cards if available, plus an emergency contact. If records are missing, tell the doctor what you remember.

Explain the details honestly

Tell the clinician about smoking, alcohol, recreational drugs and relevant mental-health history. Let the clinic know the language of your records before the appointment. SAC can help prepare questions and confirm interpretation arrangements.

Share through an agreed channel

Ask about the clinic’s record-sharing channel and retention terms. Keep copies. For consultation photos, use even light without filters or makeup; explain what appeals to you in reference images. The clinician assesses what is realistic for your anatomy.
