Korean aesthetic clinics run efficiently, and to a first-time visitor the pace can feel brisk. Knowing the sequence in advance makes the visit calmer and the decisions clearer. This is how a first visit typically unfolds, and where the clinic's answers matter most.

Photos of the area to be discussed are standard and become part of your clinical record. Marketing use is separate and requires your consent, which you can decline.
Who you meet first
Many clinics have a consultant or coordinator speak with you before the clinician. Their role is to gather your goals and explain options and pricing. The clinician's assessment is the medical part.

The clinician examines the area, asks about your history and explains which options they consider appropriate and which they would not recommend. Ask for the reasoning; a good answer explains what suits your case, not only what is available.
- Expect options to be described with expected effect, downtime and the number of sessions the clinic proposes.
- Estimates are usually presented as per-session prices, courses or packages, sometimes with promotional terms. Ask for the estimate in writing.
- Same-day treatment is possible at some clinics for some treatments. Whether it is appropriate for you is the clinician's decision, not a scheduling convenience.
- You are not expected to decide in the room. Taking the estimate away and comparing is normal.

- If you proceed, payment terms, deposits and cancellation rules are set by the clinic. Ask whether the quoted price is the price you will pay, including any consumables.
- Ask whether any tax refund arrangement applies to international patients and what documents it requires; the clinic can confirm what currently applies.
- Aftercare instructions come with any treatment. Have them explained before you leave, and take them in writing.
- Confirm how to contact the clinic afterwards, in which language and during which hours.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Many clinics accept walk-ins, but for an international visitor an appointment is safer: it secures language support, the clinician you asked about and time for a full consultation. We request appointments and confirm the details in writing.
Is there a consultation fee?
Some clinics charge one, some deduct it from treatment and some do not charge at all. We ask each clinic to confirm before you visit.
Will I see the doctor or a consultant?
Often both. A consultant gathers your goals and explains pricing; the clinician assesses you and recommends options. If you want the clinician present for specific questions, ask in advance.
Can I bring someone with me?
Usually yes for the consultation; procedure and treatment rooms may be restricted. We check the clinic's policy when we confirm the appointment.
What should I bring?
Your passport, a list of medications and allergies, notes on previous treatments, your questions and the payment method the clinic accepts. Photos are usually taken at the clinic.
