Most of Seoul's aesthetic and skin clinics sit in a few neighbourhoods south of the river. Knowing how they differ, and how long it takes to move between them, makes a multi-clinic schedule realistic. A district says nothing about a clinic's quality; it says a lot about your day.
The main clusters
Four neighbourhoods, four different days.
Apgujeong and Sinsa
Long-established aesthetic clinic streets on Line 3, with cafes and shopping nearby. Many clinics here see international visitors regularly.
Cheongdam
Quieter and more discreet, with clinics set among galleries and boutiques near Line 7. Slightly further from the busiest transit hubs.
Clinics also exist near tourist areas north of the river, often with services aimed at short-stay visitors. Wherever a clinic is, what matters is the clinician, the written estimate and the follow-up arrangements, not the neighbourhood.
Moving between them
Realistic travel times for a clinic day.
- Within the Gangnam area, a taxi between districts usually takes ten to twenty-five minutes outside rush hour; allow more in the late afternoon and in rain.
- Subway lines connect the clusters, but transfers with luggage or after a treatment are tiring; a taxi is often the better choice on treatment days.
- Two consultations in the same district can sit close together; consultations in different districts need a real gap between them.
- Clinics keep appointment times fairly strictly; arriving early is easier than explaining a late arrival.

Choose the room after the appointments.
Book accommodation once the clinic addresses and dates are known. Compare the actual journey to each appointment, the walk from the station or taxi rank, elevator access and how quiet the room is on a rest day. Cancellation flexibility matters while appointments are still provisional.

Should I stay in Gangnam?
If your appointments are there, usually yes. Decide after the clinic addresses are confirmed and compare the real journey, not the district name.
Are clinics in Cheongdam better than elsewhere?
No district guarantees quality. Compare the clinician, the written estimate and the follow-up arrangements. Cheongdam tends to be quieter, which some visitors prefer.
How long does it take to get between clinics?
Within the Gangnam area, typically ten to twenty-five minutes by taxi outside rush hour. We build the schedule with buffers so a delay in one appointment does not break the next.
Do clinics near tourist areas cater to foreigners?
Many do, but language support and appointment practices vary. Ask, or let us confirm, before relying on it.
